I can't believe some people still doubt DQXI will be a 3DS/Wii U multiplatform game, for U.S at least, Dragon Quest X (and IX) shows their willingness to release a numbered DQ on Nintendo platforms, best way to do that is to release the game on both Wii U and 3DS, it's coming to the WIi U/3DS, likely both of them, you need to accept it Aerys.

Its like the people who think Vita or PS4 will get a main series Monster Hunter game, just like those who thought DQX would release for PS3 as an exclusive.

Holy cow! Hard to believe this level of arrogance despite the sales situation in Japan. 3DS and Vita will likely be dead or dying by the time DQ11 would release (2017 maybe?), so it's irrelevant. If the newest entry is indeed a console game, there's no chance it'll be a Wii U exclusive without some assistance.

I actually was just spoofing the post I quoted to show how ridiculous it was being, by posting the other ridiculous extreme. I think DQXI will be a Nintendo "fusion" game  with a PS4 port, or a PS3/PS4 multiplat - depending on release, but I'm not certain of it as Aerys is. Hence why in my original post in this thread, I considered the possibility of the PS4 getting DQXI as an exclusive and how it would influence sales. As for WIi U, Nintendo has assisted SE with Dragon Quest games in the past, if the PS4 doesn't pull a large install base advantage in Japan by then, that might be enough for SE. To me, DQ:Heroes seems more like a test of whether or not DQXI would be viable on the PS4, and whether a demanded game can change hardware sales of the PS4 drastically.
