Forget sales, would you like Wii U as much without the Gamepad?

I haven't used it enough but I love the idea of the Gamepad and after playing Mario chase and (soon) Hyrule warriors I can say that it is a brilliant concept just under utilized. I wouldn't enjoy the Wii U as much if the gamepad wasn;t there. I just wished they'd implement the playing on the TV and Gamepad more often with two players.
