Whatever game the ps4 runs, the wii u can run.

Changing and removing things to make them work on WiiU can potentially turn the game into quite a different experience though. When WiiU was still getting some crossgen ports of games, they were ported from the X360 version. Not the PS4 or XBO version. Because WiiU is closest in architecture to Xbox 360.
WiiU only has 1 GB of DDR3 RAM dedicated to games, while PS4 has 5GB of DDR5 RAM for games. The difference in performance on that front alone is nearly tenfold. Not to mention the rest. This is one of the reasons why developers don't want to bother porting their games to Wii U any more. Because the amount of time and money that goes into converting it for the Wii U from PS4/XBO just isn't worth it. And this goes hand in hand with fewer titles being crossgen these days, and more devs focusing on the current gen only.

Nothing will turn into even a slightly different experience. Things wouldn't be changed or removed, mereley scaled (resolution, for the most part). And that's IF square want to push things, something they haven't done for a while in DQ.

Your shallow RAM comparison show little understanding of how things works. Wii U's RAM memory works as a whole with the edram.

"This is one of the reasons why developers don't want to bother porting their games to Wii U any more. Because the amount of time and money that goes into converting it for the Wii U from PS4/XBO just isn't worth it." I think everyone knows that's not true.
