A Wii U or PS4 port would just be icing on the cake. Wii U is more likely, because NIntendo publishes DQ games in the West if they're exclusives. Meaning SE saves publishing costs in the West as well. A PS4 game would have ten times the budget and probably half the sales as a 3DS release. A Wii U game probably something like five times the cost and a quarter of the sales. I see the 3DS game having DQVIII level graphics, which Japanese gamers are plenty happy with. |
The series hasn't moved from the graphical level of DQ 8, it needs a visual refresh. Dragon quest 9 wasn't the top selling because of visuals, it was because of DS. A 3ds main entry makes sense but they should focus on a home console entry first.
