Tekken characters combos are more complex in that they are longer and are different from one another (depending on the character). When I was talking to you specifically about combos I was talking about Feng Wei ( whom I tend to main). Play as Brian and the combo input gets weirder. My hat is off to the top tier Tekken players. Law...is one of the easiest characters to understand. He even has a basic combo that just demands square and it unloads a flurry of punches. I'm beyond him at this point, but he's still fun to play. |
They aren't any longer, I've done touch of death combos in marvel that go past the 99 hits the game will count. Okay, well, it was an infinite, BUT... the combos in 2D games are longer than 3D games. That knee he's talking about can be side-stepped, and punished pretty easily, but if he did manage to land it, we're looking at what? a 6 hit combo? The combo he's talking about doing isn't even an optimal one.
Law isn't fun to play. You do know you can duck under that "flurry" of useless punches, right? Or, better yet, sidestep? Good way to get counterhit, right there.

The Fury said: Feng? Instant respect from me then, I generally have no respect for those who play online as Kazuya, Asuka or Law. Asuka's counter throw stance I hope is removed from future games, dang this is spammy as hell. Feng has some great combos and is fun to play, I play him more as a powerful hitter, not combos at all. Bryan is hilarious though, he has some moves that make no sense. Infact if I recall one of his is a kick that is used mid combo (↗ plus circle too) that makes no sense in character movement, but then I find it funny it's exactly the same as Xaiyou's move when pressing that, down to the annimation. |
That counter doesn't work against lows, or shoulders. I think knees, and elbows are good too. Don't spam punches or kicks and you'll be fine.
