The Wii and Wii U are totally different systems. The Wii was mostly bought for casuals who just wanted a bowling simulator and maybe Mario Kart Wii, of course the PS3 sold more software. On the other hand, the Wii U has a more dedicated fanbase with, what i have already said, a much more consistent attach rate. But i was getting ahead of myself saying it will definitely sell more sofware. I think it will be the PS4's more games vs the Wii U's attach rate.

The Wii and Wii U are very different, but it's not like the Wii didn't have the hardcore Nintendo fans, i.e. the people who currently own the Wii U. Wii just had the Nintendo audience + casual gamers who wanted motion controls. Wii U will have a nice attach rate, but let's not forget that doesn't mean much if games are few and far between.

Most hardcore fans didn't play on the Wii due to its motions controls. It was Nintendo's gamble to get all the casuals and not focus nearly as much as maybe they did with the Gamecube, with powerful (at the time for consoles) hardware and a 'traditional' controller, and is why the Wii U isn't getting the sales it should get, think about it, if all the gamecube and n64 fans were still hardcore Nintendo fans, the Wii U wouldn't be doing the low numbers it is right now. But i agree that those games are far between, but not as far as you think they are for this year.
