While I'm not entirely sure this relates to OP's post, I definitely think Nintendo can't rely on a fanbase (that barely exists) of children...
Their target audience should be manchildren...
That was a joke; don't take it too seriously...
I get the impression that Nintendo doesn't think it is capable of appealing to anyone over the age of eighteen...
