PAL regions dont use ESRB so there is no "M" rating. ELSPA didn't rate games back then either I don't think (the EU wide ratings, now known as PEGI) and there is no BBFC rating, so actually, there is no age limit on the original Killer Instinct in the UK. KI Gold is a 15 though.
