Also it's completely out of context. If Iwata can't see the difference between Gameboy and Wii U, Nintendo definitely is doomed.

The snippet was taken from a much larger answer that Iwata gave. If you read the full answer, it's pretty obvious that Iwata doesn't believe that the Wii U can be turned around. He wasn't even talking about the Wii U alone in this snippet, but also the 3DS.
