That is actually pretty pathetic. Something like that shouldn't be said by any CEO if he doesn't want to appear like a joke.

Also it's completely out of context. If Iwata can't see the difference between Gameboy and Wii U, Nintendo definitely is doomed.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
