It's not about review scores. I'm just saying, you never know. Maybe the kid would've loved the game. I work at a restaurant and frequently recommend things all the time that people think they wouldn't like, like pasta with a poached egg on it. It's not the dish everyone loves, but it's still good. Some people go into it thinking it doesn't sound good, and I'm like, just trust me it's amazing, and then they love it. I dunno man, if somebody at the table was like, "don't get that! egg on pasta??!?" I would've laughed and been like haha i know it sounds a little weird, but it's really good, and inside I would've thought, why don't you shut the fuck up. You ordered a near 100$ version of the game, and talked someone out of a sale, presumably because he should be wary of review scores....the very review scores that you yourself do not seem to be disturbed by. |
Judging from the questions he was asking he didn't know much about the game and the Gamestop employees were talking it up like it was near perfect. I was telling him to make sure its something he likes before droping $60. I understand your point and normally I would mind my business. And as for me, I use review scores but I don't strictly buy according to them. But Ive also been watching/reading everything with The Order and even with mediocre scores I think Il enjoy it.
