I won't comment on the usual fanboy stuff that's going on in this thread. I'll only say that if I were a shareholder of Epic, I'd have some serious discussion with the CEO.

The problem in this business is that a lot of people in the business can't seperate making money and their hobby. That's sad, but also kinda sweet.

Epic games is a privately owned company. Therefore there is no shareholders that can nag at him...

In that case I actually have respect for him. He just does what he likes without taking the easy way. Before I get all kinds of comments: I'm serious. If he doesn't want to make Wii games, while that's where the money is, he sees making games as a passion, and I like that.

The point never was "we want epic games on the Wii"

The point was, he shouldn't flame the console using anecdotal evidence, while calling it a virus no one ever plays.

It's certainly false according to the sale figures of software in the US. It appears that either more people play their Wii's than their 360, or those people who still play their Wiis simply buy more software per console. Because, on an average month, the Wii will come very close, or even outsell the 360 in software amounts in the US alone, despite having a smaller userbase.

The fact that I have to defend the Wii against this anti-Wii fanboy bullet point, which was actually flung by someone who represents a development company, and should know better, well, that's why this has soured me towards the company.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.
