Nation Threads and Their Role in the Forums: A Critique

But Nintendo Discussion (the forum section) seems to be the healthiest of the big three, despite its Nation thread not amounting to much more than a news hub. I cannot answer this question, but you and Kowen can. What was it like for the MS discussion back in 2007, 2008, etc. Nintendo's had history that Xbox doesn't have and most likely will not ever have in terms of longevity. 

From intuition, most likely, the Nintendo community on this site took time to develop. The Nintendo community was able to mature from 2007 (possibly earlier as I know Superchunk is 2006)-->2015. You have users here that have been around for a long time that still continue to provide excellent source material for this site. 

Now I ask, has MS/Xbox been able to have that level of maturity to develop a community? There are users that are more Xbox oriented I know, but i feel it hasn't been able to fruition like Nintendo. Xbox' community seems have been going through a rebuilding era so to speak. Most of the current users span from 2012 to now. Lot of newer users that have come in who have not had the longevity that older Nintendo users have had.
