I don't think they necessarily "hate" Nintendo but I do think they use them as their scapegoat for more clicks. They throw their smaller franchises like Kirby and DK under the bus, knowing they'll only upset 1 fanbase and get a ton of clicks from it. Then they give the huge games like Mario Kart, Bayonetta and Smash amazing scores because they can't piss people off too much.
That's just my take.
