The big new Nintendo products are incredibly hard to get hold of at the moment. Both the New Nintendo 3DS and amiibo are having severe stock issues in the United States, which is inevitably causing frustration with gamers. Now this could be down to a major port strike on the west coast which has been happening for the past couple of months. The port strike has been affecting 70% of the goods that have been coming in from Asia and Nintendo’s products are produced in China. Kotaku points out that the quickest supply route is from China to North America is via the west coast. They say that this could ultimately be the cause for the shortage of New Nintendo 3DS consoles and amiibo.
