S.T.A.G.E. said: Its considered the dude, bro console because Microsoft much like Activision EA aim commercially for the same market. Of course Sony has done the same, but has never penetrated shooter audiences like Microsoft has. When people buy shooters on Sony's console its mostly for the story and great gameplay, on Microsoft its purely for the multiplayer. Xbox Live is known for having the most competitive gamers on the platform for COD because of MLG and everything. Sony is considered to be the artsy fartsy company and sometimes that works to their detriment. Microsoft actively pursues FPS and MLG crowds and much like COD its something that Sony is going to have to learn how to make their platform seem as it has an equivalent offering. |
