In case someone comes in yelling "SHIPPED!!!" Iwata reiterates through his presentation that the numbers for software and hardware (excluding New 3DS hardware in US and EU, which was a preliminary estimate based on shipping and sell outs) were sell through numbers from independent sources. Just like a majority of Nintendo's released figures.
