Without herd immunity, as provided by high vaccination coverage, diseases like whooping cough would run rampant, and we would return to the days where children died in droves from diseases that have since thankfully been brought under control.

Parents who do not vaccinate are not only putting their children in danger, but other people's children too. Frankly, they should have their kids taken off them for criminal negligence.

Furthermore, as somebody with autism, I think it's rather disconcerting that some people would apparently rather a dead child than an autistic one.
