You could just ask her out on a date or to hang out one on one and see how that goes before you explain how you feel about her. If she asks why, just say that you want to get to know her better. It often better to butter them up first and you can get a read on her feelings without asking her directly. Once the cat is out of the bag, it won't go back in.
