To futher show the difference, look at Tekken Tag Tournament 2 on Wii U.  Costumes are a minor Nintendo integration.  Now think of the upcoming Pokken Tournament.  That's a major Nintendo integration.  Which do you think will have greater lifetime sales (provided Pokken Tournament is released outside of arcades)?

I doubt that a lot of third parties will want to make installments in Nintendo franchises just to succeed. Its nice once in a while, but no third party can thrive on it.
