Since Wii U failed, what should Nintendo have done to follow up the Wii's success?

I'm sorry but that is not as true as you think. "Fanboys" were not enraged by the success or at the very lest few were. I think people, and I woudl say the sales of the WIi U back up this statement; simply werent satisfied with the Wii. It got way too much shovelware and if im being frank the biggest selling point motion controls kinda sucked. 

So lets be honest with ourselves would a clerk really recommend a Wii knowing it was missing a bunch of major games or got crappy versions of some. ANd the system was way behind not just tech wise? Nobody cares who wins what they just care that the system delivers I think for alot of people Wii didnt deliver if it did more would have returned.
