| SubiyaCryolite said: If you want South African devs look no further than ( http://www.makegamessa.com ). Its got a really active and helpful community. One of the guys who worked on Broforce is a regular there, a decent amount of games posted there eventually get greenlit. I got really helpful and brutally honest advice from them woth my own "game" as well ( http://makegamessa.com/discussion/1972/the-scnd-genesis/p1 ). Its your best shot at finding an active African dev community so start there. Im not sure about the West or East African scene. Our local scene is non existant but interest is growning. When my first attempt at making a "game" got a random review on a random blog that very few people have ever heard of I got inspired to do a followup (https://indiegraph.wordpress.com/2012/02/22/scnd-genesis-legends-review/). Its surprisingly easy to get into but you have to be fairly good, surround yourself with the right people and be persistent. You also have to learn how to take criticism, both legit and trolling, cause you get it a lot. |
Will do. I'll check out your game as well. You are in which country and you started devloping seriously how long ago?
