We must also factor in that most of Spidey's enemies are also great scientists or hunters--Green Goblin, Dock Ock, Mysterio, Kraven... list goes on... |
Scientist yes, but Batman is also an excellent detective. To imagine Batman at a disadvantage going in to that fight is a streach for reality, also, I don't know how well Spidey would fare against the Joker, after the Joker poisions Mary Jane or deforms her in some way.
