And it's debatable if the USA ever was the "best country in the world", Canada and UK were fine in the 50s and 60s too, Europe after the fall of the Berlin Wall is a very nice place too. There are plenty of nice countries to live in with nice modern amenities and similar liberalized values. If you don't like it you can go try living in Saudi Arabia or Syria for a year and see how long you can hold out. |
Well I didn't mean like a consumer standpoint, I meant like being number 1 in Science, Math, Health, etc.... I'd be surprised if we're even in the top 20 of any of those categories anymore
