As for me and attention whoring. I wish that I get big threads too, but sometimes the interest isn't there. Then you get depressed. What I found out is that it's not the threads you make and trying to get lots of replies that make you happy, it's your actual posts that you make are what make you feel good about yourself. Its those people that find your posts valuable/entertaining that feeds your soul. So, my answer to is, keep posting. Someone will get you. You may feel you post a lot and feel ignored, but people do read. They are just too lazy to reply or you blew their minds so bad, they don't know what to say.

In the end, you have a girlfriend. So you are already better than most of us nerds.
