As my username attests too im a super fan of xenogears.  However i dont deny the cultural impact that FF7 had and what it meant to bringing jrpg's into the mainstream, as well as the fact that unfortuately do too budget/content of xenogears it would never get its fair amount of credit.  In the end though for me personly when it comes down to it i will take xenogears every time :)
