So Rare is overrated because you listed 5 games from Rares great years (1990-2003 ish) that YOU find better? Weird way of judging things. And based on average opinion you're opinion isn't what the majority thinks. On metacritic there are 7 Rare games from that era rated 88 or higher.

Everyone has different opinions, just because the majority thinks Rare is amazing doesn't mean that it is fact. I don't dislike them as a developer, just find that they are overrated. A lot of people say Ocarina of Time is the best game ever. Does that make it true just because everyone else said so? No, because everyone has their own opinions

Also if you want a bigger list of games from 1990 to 2003 that are better than the Rare games from that era, here is one, once again, all my opinion

Is that enough games for you? All of these have aged MUCH better than games like GoldenEye or Banjo Kazooie and others. Rare games might have been good THEN. But most of them aren't very good NOW. Unlike all of the games I lised above

You disappoint me EB... I think you went Full Vilanger in this post bud (You NEVER go Vilanger).

I must say you are WAY off... First of all you named games from like 5-7 DIFFERENT developers to match one... That alone speaks Echoes. 2nd of all most Platforms age well regardless. 3rd RE2 and RE3 didn't age well AT ALL IMO... I had a hard time playing them in the 6th Gen when they were available on the Dreamcast and Gamecube. 4TH... only a handful of games really aged well from the 5th Gen anyway man (I noticed that you mentioned very few games from 5th gen there that weren't plats...). Only games I can think of that are still relevant today are Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Link's Awakening, Perfect Dark (YES, I put it on this list. Better than Goldeneye) Final Fantasy VII and IX, Chrono Cross, Street Fighter Alpha 3, Mega Man X 4, Final Fantasy Tactics, Mega Man Legends 1&2, NiGHTS, Star Fox 64, Castlevania:SOTN, Donkey Kong 64 and Banjo-Tooie (another Rare classic) people may say Metal Gear Solid and Resident Evil... but there's a reason why they remade them.

Rare were pioneers of Genres man. You also forgot Blast Corps (althoug I HATED IT, there's still not a game like it today).
