It was fairly moving, and I say forget the naysayers. The film doesn't glorify the Iraq War, and in fact does the opposite with its portrayal of the effect of war on a veteran and his family. There might've been some slight inaccuracies in tactics or logic but I don't think anyone intelligent left the theatre thinking that the movie tried to send a message of war being a good thing.

Actually became interested in seeing it a month back because Bradley Cooper; he's one of my fave actors.


The movie tells people that war isnt a good thing for american soldiers but not for the people who get invaded

well it's told from the perspective of an American soldier of course it's going to show the negative effects for him.  Also it's more of a character study than a war epic so it's going to focus on him instead of general suffering (no pun intended with general)
