In this day and age Zelda is at best high quality in many areas but I would almost argue it isnt the best at anything anymore. Other companies have caught up and to be the best in a series as amazing as Zelda you basically have to be the best game of your era.
The open world is nice but games like The Witcher or TES:VI are likely to be just as good if not better.
Combat... Bloodborne, well theres a lot because Zelda combat is hella basic but Bloodborne will take the cake.
Music is one it could be No.1 in arguabley.
Story is rather poor in Zelda games, I mean I love the premise but its always poorly told and not fleshed out enough.
Graphics, WiiU.

etc.

The last time Zelda was the pinnacle of gaming was Wind Waker imo. The game was WAY ahead of its time in many, many ways.

As far as Zelda not being the best at anything anymore, I would have to disagree. Lets be honest here, in a genre of game like Zelda, its all been done, but what Zelda offers is a complete package. You don't just get one aspect that is amazing with the rest being sub-par, every part of the LoZ games tends to be polished to perfection.

I'm not too sure what TES:VI is, but I have played The Witcher and enjoyed it. The world in Witcher 2 definitely isn't open world, I think its split into 3 or 4 zones if I remember correctly. As far as what there is to do in that world, I found all the fetch quests and kill quests to be pretty damn boring and almost never worth doing.

I agree with you as far as Bloodborne will most likely have the best combat in a game this year, but that is just due to the variety that Souls games offer. Its also pretty clear that the Souls games were influenced quite a bit by Zelda.

The way a Zelda story is told is usually spot on for me, dunno personal opinion.

If you've seen the trailers/screen caps, than you'll realize that Zelda WiiU will have a stylized cell-shaded look which doesn't really require it to be super strong to look great. I for one will never want to see a Zelda game where I can see Links' pores or waaaaayyyy too much dust, that stuff doesn't appeal to me.
