I feel like a lot of hardcore forum dwelling gamers are going to commend his commitment to his craft, but in my opinion, from a practical sense, this is not the best choice.
He made quite a bit of money from Braid. Should have stuffed half of it into savings and then spent the other half on the Witness. If it flops he can live to fight another day.
