Very little difference. A name change probably would have helped the Wii U.
Vita wasn't ideal and people I know still call it a psp lol, but Vita's primary problem is compelling exclusive content. It was never going to be the mainstream device PSP was but it could have taken more of a chunk out of the 3DS's market (not the kids, but the grown gamers)
