Mortal Kombat is badass man it's the GTA of fighting games. Just all around awesome. Fun to play, cool characters (Scorpion, Raiden, Sub Zero, Cyrax, Mileena), awesome movesets, etc. etc. Tekken is a boring fighter, MK and SF are not.
