Oh I will add I think they definitely learned this gen
- Expensive gimmick controllers are a no-no. Miyamoto will probably get to make another gimmick controller for the next "console" (which will just be the handheld chipset on steroids for TV play), but they won't allow for such an expensive standard controller ever again. Even the 3D screen in the 3DS, I think they regret that as it made the system more expensive than it had to be and is a feature that never really took off like wildfire.
- The PowerPC/heavily customized chipset thing is probably going to go out the door too. The hardware cost killed them this gen.
