Pretty sure he's just recycling/regurgitating talk of Nintendo looking to get the Harry Potter license from way back in 1999/2000 for Rare. It has little to no relevance to Nintendo today and really wasn't *that* big of a deal even back then. Nintendo had used the James Bond license and had the Star Wars license too, so bidding for Harry Potter just seemed like a natural thing to do especially back when Rare was the biggest UK based developer in the world.
