The ps3, however, won't have a shortage of third party support (due to developers either going Wii or ps3/360), and the type of games found on the system are generally quite different from those on the Wii (presentation vs gameplay). And then there are the ps3's other uses (media center, Blu-Ray). As the price drops, it's not unreasonable to think that many former single-console gamers may go dual-console by picking up a ps3 in addition to a Wii, as the ps3 offers many things that the Wii simply cannot (and vice-versa). And then there's the PSP phenomenon, though owning two handhelds isn't quite the same as owning two consoles, so it's not quite the same. |
