exactly there is more variety in character choices in 4 then melee plus the smash 4 community hasnt found all the exploits yet to make it more intersting

heres the characters that people mostly use

smash melee: captain falcon, marth, falco, fox, or shiek 

smash 4: captain falcon, shiek, zero suit samus, ness, diddy kong, luigi, pikachu, fox, falco(much more variety)
