How much do you think PS4 will sell in Japan?

Given the circumstances; 10 million would be nothing short of fantastic, a small wonder even. Dead, not quite yet, but certainly dying in its current form. We have also have to consider the total tally; the Wii, 360 and PS3 have about 24.6 million sold in Japan and the Wii U, PS4 and One will likely sell around 16-17 million or so, and this paired with the likely ~28 million sales from 3DS and Vita compared to the DS/PSP selling about 53 million shows that there is real cause for worry.

Such a drop in sales over the span of one generation is simply shocking in one of the major markets of the world and people are staring themselves blind at global numbers and not actually seeing how bad it is over there. 30-35% down in home consoles and 45-50% down in handhelds is a proper disaster. I guess my point is this; even if the PS4 did somehow manage 10 million lifetime (which I still think it won't), that would not indicate a healthy Japanese console market, not even close.

oh yeah there's no doubt that as a whole the japanese market for home consoles is dead, but maybe playstation is that one exception
