Seems we've hit that point in the life of an entertainment sector where ideas are not so fresh or frequent and we start seeing a large number of remakes. Movies go through periods of it, TV does it. It's all part of the cycle.

Still it's time for everyone to get off their high horse about other console's remakes and accept them as a reality of an industry that gets to a certain stage of development.

Some remakes are good, some are not. Nintendo's remakes are a step up compared to the rest. Metroid: Zero Mission is the best remake ever made.

State the obvious as if it is some sort of meaningful statement. This being undeniably true does not in any way negate what I said.

Most remakes fall into the latter category. ;) Nintendo remakes almost always into the first.
