I don't think anyone expect it to break the 100m mark anymore. Especially since Sony and tons of third parties announced that 2015 would be the last year they'd support the PS3. It'll be lucky to break the 90m mark.
Also, I belive that at this point on the PS3 lifespan Sony prefers to make more profit than selling more units.
