Actually, it started the moment it was announced in May. Because of this picture

Now, had the new Xbox been stylized/advertised as "Xbox 1", "XBOne" wouldn't have happened. But, like I said, it's because of the way the product is presented. Take it up with the designers or the logo.

Doesn't change the fact that it was called that out of malicious intent.

You say people are "salty" when they think "Xbone" is childish yet the whole situation that made it popular was childish itself.

Lol time out. First, the whole deal is "XBOne was a term made up by trolls who are being childish". Then I show you that it became the abbreviation because...that's how it looks.

Now, it's called that out of malicious intent (based on the policies), even though the origins are before the policies are revealed?

Why can't people just accept that it's called the "XBOne" because.....THAT'S WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE?! Ever think about that? Was it "offensive" when the "OX" was taken out of the XBOX 360 logo and it was shorthanded to "XB360". Because that's all that happened with the XBOne.

Some people call it just "Bone". That it a "troll" term. But don't get mad that it started innocently enough, then MS gave it a reason to be a "bad" name. Because the name started from the day it was announced. Until MS changes how they present the product, then even when they aren't "boning" you, it's still XBOX One --> XBOne. Nothing offensive about that.
