Few months ago, it would have been almost unfathomable to think that Last of Us Remastered PS4 would outsell Halo MCC Xbox1.  This week, LoU:R PS4 outsold Halo MCC in the US and globally?  (Does this mean globally in the US also?)

Currently, LoU:R PS4 have exceeded expectations and sold 2.9 millions (not counting digital per VGChartz).  Even more impressive was that most of the holiday bundles (such as gamestop/amazon GTA5/LoU:R PS4 bundles) included LoU:R download codes which didn't add to the total number of sales.  On the other hand, 343 has botched the multiplayer on release, and Halo MCC sales have somewhat underwhelmed.  Currently, Halo MCC is about 1 million behind LoU:R at 1.97 million total.

I do think Halo MCC will have decent legs, and will probably get a boost when Halo 5 is released.  My guess is that LoU:R will end up around 4.5 million lifetime whereas Halo MCC will end up around 4 million.
