Would you cover up a crime for your best friend or sentimental partner?

For murder, I wouldn't do it. That's the easy answer but that's without any context.

If my friend was a father who killed the guy who raped/killed his daughter, then things would be different. I'd at least consider finding a way so he can plead self-defense.
