If there's 11m shipped, it's safe to assume 9m sold. 10m shipped, it's 8m sold.

PS4 is in over 100 countries. Xbox One is in 42. The PS4 would need more stock in the channel than the Xbox One.

The PS4 is trashing the Xbone in every country. Although it's true that SONY would have to ship more than the Xbone, that doesn't imply that SONY has more units in stock than the Xbone, considering how well PS4 is selling and how poorly the Xbone is selling.
