It is not safe to say, but it is probable. Other than the short jump to $399 that wasn't even implemented by some retailers, XOne has a lot of momentum from the holidays, as it gave Americans a chance to recommend the console to their friends. Also, in the past few weeks I see it advertised so much tied to Superbowl and the NFL.

January NPD will be a close battle, but it is possible that XOne will win, alrhough by a smaller margin than previous months.

All good points in favor of the XB1, however, there was no major release on either console and the sales numbers are much lower than December, it will be close, but I still think the PS4 will outsell the XB1 this January, as it should for pretty much every months until late in the year.

The holidayperiod is too far ahead to predict, Halo 5 may or may not pull things in the XB1's direction... the XB1 does not have anything like the feature/policy/price come back they had to do last year to make the console tolerable, the PS4 has an AMAZING software lineup spread around the whole year, this is not denigrating what MS has to offer, but if 1 or 2 exclusives meant everything last year, what are we going to call this year when the PS4 has a couple more major games that cover more type of gamers tastes as well... ?

overall 2015 may end up being either like 2014 or more in favor of the PS4 than 2014 was... then again, we don't know exactly what either companies have in their sleeves...
