Huh? You know you don't have to play with it with most games, right? And once you get used to it, it's great. And it allows off screen play and dual screen local MP. It actually adds to it, so why would you not want one because of it. Don't want it? Boot up with the pro controller and leave the gamepad in the dock.

My sister's ex boyfriend had a Wii U, it was with me for 6 months, and A lot of the games I played then wasn't allowed without a gamepad. The off screen play is cool but something I would never use as I play consoles on my PC monitor, and have multiple PC monitors so I can always have 1 screen dedicated to a console.
