Also at this point I honestly wouldn't be surprised if there was a Darksiders 3 funded by Nintendo.
Bayonetta 2 seemed to work out well for them (Despite what people will say about its sales) because it gave them an amazing exclusive to talk about, and games like Hyrule Warriors worked out as well. They probably see funding third party games as a good idea now, and they should if the games end up being amazing.
