Maybe. Any comment about sales is irrelevant given The Legend of Kay sold next to nothing with both versions combined, and yet is coming to Wii U for whatever reason.
It would be a certainty if Nintendo funded the development, which is possible since they did fund Bayonetta 2 and Devil's Third, which no one ever thought would happen.
