Wait... Wouldn't Galaxy be a better choice for a 10 year old girl than Brawl?

Is this her first gaming machine? What kind of games does she like?

She had a GC before this. I'm not buying her Galaxy because I don't feel like beating every difficult part of the game for her like I did Sunshine. Mario games are pretty brutal on kids.

Brawl is no walk in the park either you know XD

What about Zack and Wiki? Wait... same problem.

Zack & Wiki is not a good game for kids. It's very difficult.

What about endless ocean? Is that game too difficult?

Well since you can't actually lose endless ocean no, but it's also not a game designed for kids. It's more geared towards adults. It's soothing and slow. A 10 year old girl would be bored.

Anyone else see the irony that we are having trouble coming up with a child appropriate game on the system many refer to as the "kiddy console?"

*Insert random Nintendo superiority remark*

Well, Brawl's a good choice. Cooking Mama might also be good, along with Mario Party. I think her preference in Brawl shows that she likes games that she can pick up and play.

Brawl would be a great present if she enjoyed Melee, but if you choose something else, Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 is also good.

You really can't go wrong here.
