What do you mean, better adjustable screen size, additional stick? With PSP I could place the screen position everywhere, even completely on the left side (helped me when psp screen was half broken) also adjust zoom with continuity, custom map every single button and also with PSP Go like the vita if using a DS3 you can have COMPLETE two analog support (CTR accelerate with right stick) and even rumble! (don't forget actual l2,l3,r2,r3 buttons!) S-Video output on CRT TV looks maybe better than actual PS1 with RGB cables! (on hdtv 480p output via component looks way better than PS1 of course). I would recommend a very cheap now PSP GO for PS1 gaming, loading screens are damn fast too! Button mapping on the touchscreen isn't needed with any psp because it is the Vita that has start and select in a very BAD position!

On my PSP I have 4 screen-mode-options: "Original" (black borders all around), "Normal" (black borders left + right), "Zoom" (upper + lower part of the picture are cut off) and "Full Screen" (wrong aspect). How do you place the positionto the left?

The Vita has an additional "Custom"-mode, where you can zoom without steps in every direction by pinch gestures... you can minimize the black bars and adjust the aspect slightly to get your individual "perfect" setting. Upscaling a 320x240 signal to 272 pixel height ("normal" and "full screen") or to 480x360 (with the upper and lower part cut off) also doesn't work very well, upscaling a 320x200 signal to finer resolutions like 960x544 delivers much better results.

And using a DS3 with the PSP is great, if you want to play the PS1 games on a TV... but PS1 games look like shit on a big TV, they look much better on the tiny screen of a handheld. How do you hold the handheld and the controller at the same time?
