Hmm.. where did you see the GeoW2 tech demo? Are you sure it wasn't the UE3 tech dome shown at GDC'08?
If so, remember that demo is not GeoW2. Epic already stated it. That is a tech demo of what the engine can do not a demo of the game. Chances are that some of the tech shown will make it to GeoW2 but not all of it.
